Saturation Patrol Results In Arrests

Law enforcement in Luzerne County picked up six wanted people, made four drug arrests and located a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash during a recent saturation patrol, District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis announced Tuesday in a news release. Additionally, police arrested one person for drunken driving and issued 107 traffic citations, the release said The saturation patrol included the district attorney’s office, county detectives, state police and police departments from Avoca, Exeter, Duryea, Hughestown, Jenkins Twp., Pittston Twp., Plains Twp., West Pittston, West Wyoming, and Wyoming, Luzerne County Adult Probation visited 56 homes to check on probationers and parolees. “The efforts of all officers truly are appreciated, and the results of this undertaking have made our roads and communities a safer place,” Salavantis said. — STAFF WRITER
