County votes in uncontested elections

Mason County residents cast votes in a number of uncontested races Tuesday during the 2018 midterm general election.

Unopposed candidates at the county, city, township and school district level were elected or re-elected.

Several write-in candidates were also voted into positions in the election. As of press time, some of the names remain unavailable.

PROBATE JUDGE — Jeffrey Nellis, 10,903 votes

County Board

DISTRICT 1 — Republican Gary Castonia, 1,172 votes

DISTRICT 2 — Republican Lew Squires, 1,647 votes

DISTRICT 5 — Republican Stephen Hill, 1,532 votes

DISTRICT 6 — Republican Janet Andersen, 1,456 votes

City of Ludington

WARD 1 — Jeff Lenius, 539 votes

WARD 2 — Kathy Winczewski, 523 votes

WARD 6 — David Bourgette, 380 votes

CITY CLERK — Deborah Luskin, 3,015 votes

Scottville City Commission

AT-LARGE — Rob Alway, 281; Sally Cole 269 votes

WARD 1 — Leon Begue, 170 votes

WARD 2 — (Partial term) Bruce Krieger, 160 votes
