NEW YORK (AP) _ David Duchovny is apparently tired of having a long-distance relationship with his new bride.

People magazine, in its Oct. 13 issue, reports that the star of ``The X-Files'' has asked producers to move the show from Vancouver, where it has been filmed since 1993, to Los Angeles. That would get him about 1,000 miles closer to Tea Leoni, his wife since May. Leoni tapes her NBC sitcom ``The Naked Truth'' in Los Angeles.

Sources told People that Duchovny wants the Fox show to move next summer. Chris Carter, co-executive producer, said there have been ``preliminary discussions'' about the show leaving the Great White North.
