N.C.-Asheville 57, Liberty 46
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) _ Josh Kohn scored 18 points, including back-to-back 3-pointers that broke open the game in the second half Thursday, as North Carolina-Asheville beat Liberty 57-46.
After trailing 22-19 at intermission, Liberty (5-7, 1-2 Big South Conference) tied the score at 28 on Kevin Benton’s basket with 14:30 left. Kohn then hit two 3-pointers to launch Asheville (6-7, 1-2) on 21-7 run to take a 49-35 lead with 2:37 left.
Victor Newman added 10 points for Asheville. Kohn hit three of his four 3-point attempts.
Peter Aluma and Barry Taylor each scored 12 points for the Flames. Benton had five points.
