CoWorks to host Dave Beam Jan. 8

HUNTINGTON — CoWorks, 1000 5th Ave. in Huntington, is hosting “2019 Hour of Power: Turning Goals into Reality” at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.

This event features Dave Beam, a certified business coach, who will be discussing the book written by Chris McChesney, Sean Covey, and Jim Huling titled “The Four Disciplines of Executions.”

The book outlines the four executions as:

1. Putting your finest effort on the one or two goals which can most make a difference.

2. Act on lead measures, this is help determine what goals are lead measures versus lag measurements. In this step, it

helps determine daily goals to reach the participant’s “Wildly Important Goals” (WIGs).

3. How to keep a compelling scoreboard to help visualize and display the WIGs.

4. Create, cadence and accountability. Through this section, the responsibility falls on the creating a steady rhythm where daily conversations are made to take place reporting on the commitment, failures, successes and how to effectively clear a path to reach the WIGs.

Beam has been helping businesses for 25 years and has to date helped 300 businesses and corporations within the last 13 years.

He is a native to Southern Ohio and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. His specialties range from teaching clients strategies to help business growth along with leadership development.
