SEPTA’s new Regional Rail locomotive makes debut

SEPTA’s new ACS-64 Electric Locomotive arrives at its Inaugural Run at Chestnut Hill East Station in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

SEPTA on Wednesday debuted the first of its new ACS-64 locomotives that are key to modernization of the the agency’s aging Regional Rail fleet.

Locomotive 901 made its ceremonial inaugural run at SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill East Station in advance of  getting to work on the Paoli-Thorndale Line, Regional Rail’s busiest.
