Big second half sends Immaculate to Class S final
WATERBURY — Three second-half goals lifted Immaculate to a 3-0 win over Coginchaug on Monday night at Ray Snyder Sr. Field in the CIAC Class S girls soccer semifinals.
The fourth-seeded Mustangs (16-4-1) advance to face either three-time defending champion Old Lyme or seventh-seeded East Hampton in Saturday’s final at a site and time to be announced.
Kayla Mingachos, Maddie Bourque and Kayla Ondy scored for Immaculate.
Coginchaug, playing in the semifinals for the first time, finished 12-7-1. The Blue Devils were the 17th seed.
