Stray bullet grazes golfer at Cherry Hill
The origin of a shot that grazed a golfer in northeast Fort Wayne remains unknown, police said Monday.
The Fort Wayne Police Department’s report for the incident at Cherry Hill Golf Club was not immediately available Monday, but spokeswoman Sofia Rosales-Scatena said the projectile came from “quite some distance away.”
The injury happened about 3:50 p.m. Sunday.
The stray bullet didn’t affect the golfer much: the man put a Band-Aid on the wound and finished his round, said Charlie Hanes, Cherry Hill manager.
“He’s all right,” Hanes said.
Hanes described it as an isolated and very unusual incident.
