October 11, 2018

STEWARTVILLE — A driver lost control on a wet highway Tuesday morning, injuring herself and a passenger.

Heidi Marie Enger, 49, of New Richland, was merging onto the eastbound Interstate 90 ramp from the U.S. Highway 63 bridge just north of Stewartville when her 2003 Lincoln LS sedan hydroplaned and she lost control. The car left the ramp and struck a concrete bridge guardrail, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

Enger and her passenger, Sandra Lynn Bolinger, 68, of Albert Lea, both were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries, the state patrol reports. No update was available on their conditions.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and Stewartville Fire Department also responded to the scene.
