Imperial Oil: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Imperial Oil Ltd. (IMO) on Friday reported second-quarter net income of $906.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had profit of $1.17. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 66 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 60 cents per share.
The oil and gas and petroleum products company posted revenue of $6.92 billion in the period.
Imperial Oil shares have climbed 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 20% in the last 12 months.
