Bomb Kills One at Bar in Ethiopian Hotel
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) _ A bomb that exploded in a crowded hotel bar killed at least one person and seriously wounded at least 20, police said today.
There was no claim of responsibility for the explosion Monday evening at the government-owned Wabe Shebele hotel, in downtown Addis Ababa.
Earlier, a hotel employee speaking on condition of anonymity said the bomb killed two people.
The bomb was the third planted this year in hotels belonging to government chains.
A blast in the Ghion Hotel in Addis Ababa in February killed one person and injured 12. Two months later, a bomb exploded in the Ras Hotel in Dire Dawa, 330 miles east of the capital, killing four people.
