GREENWICH — A man accused of urinating in public on Greenwich Avenue was later found to have stolen tools in his possession.
Fazil Itsinzi, 26, of Westbrook St., Southport, Maine, was urinating “in full view of multiple subjects in a bank” around 11:15 a.m. Monday, according to the arrest report. A description was broadcast to officers in the area, and Itsinzi, who was wearing black jeans and a hospital-style shirt, was detained. The police report stated he was “in possession of a bag of stolen tools from a nearby construction site.” A worker later spoke with officers and confirmed that the tools were taken from the job site. The arrest was made on the lower end of the Avenue, near Bruce Park Avenue.
Itsinzi, who has an arrest record in the Portland, Maine area for receipt of stolen property, according to court records, was charged with larceny and breach of peace. Bail was set at $1,000.
