WVC SOCCER ROUNDUP: Late Burst Lifts Black Knights

At Lake-Lehman, the Black Knights trailed Coughlin by a goal midway through the second half, but erupted for four goals over the final 17 minutes for a 5-2 victory.

Madison Brdaric scored four goals, three coming in the final burst. Chloe Weaver also found the back of the net for Lake-Lehman. Emily Smith had three assists.

Allyse Filipowich and Krystal Haertter scored for Coughlin.

At Sem on Friday, Aleah Kranson scored four goals and Christa Kosco added one as they Warriors shut out the Blue Knights.

At GAR, three Royals scored at least three goals, with Annie Bagnall tallying four in the win. Kaitlyn Brennan and Kalie Quaglia also had hat tricks.

Makaylee Crake and Kasey Danko also scored for Holy Redeemer.

Selene Amigon had GAR’s goal.

At Hazleton Area, the Cougars got a first-half goal from Gabe Fabian, assisted by Garcia. The duo flipped in the second half with Fabian assisting Garcia on a tally.

In goal, Jeremy Aquino made five saves.


Lake-Lehman 6, Hanover Area 2

At Hanover Area on Friday, Mike Bulzoni scored the first five goals of the game helping the Black Knights beat the Hawkeyes.

Max Paczewski also scored for Lake-Lehman.

Hanover Area got second-half goals from Hunter Ravert and Johnny Norvell.
