Jeffrey R. Schultz, 64, Irving, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Jeff grew up in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin, and worked in the plumbing business most of his life. Prior to moving to Texas, Jeff lived in Fort Atkinson and was employed at Digi-Star.
Jeff enjoyed playing and watching sports (he was always a Packers fan!). He was an avid bowler and in 1984, Jeff and his brother, Joel, were Wisconsin State Doubles Champions and traveled to Reno, Nevada, to represent Wisconsin at the National Miller Doubles Tournament. Jeff played baseball and softball for many area teams over the years. Jeff will best be remembered for living his life to the fullest and having fun with his family and friends. (WWJD)
Jeff is survived by his son, Chris (Meegan Weeks); his daughter, Cassandra (Nate Beckman); and their mother, Cindy Conkey. Additional survivors include his mother, Ruth Schultz; sister, Julie Evenson (Doug); brother, Joel (Karen); sister-in-law, Carla; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rayno Schultz, and a brother, Jan Schultz.
A private memorial service for immediate family will be held Friday evening, Aug. 10.
At his request, a celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at the home of Julie and Doug Evenson, starting at 2 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to come and celebrate Jeff.
The family requests memorials be made on Jeff’s behalf to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation, the Jimmy V Foundation, Cancer Treatment Centers of America or a memorial of your choice.
