Savor local flavor: a full rundown of FEAST! restaurants

November 22, 2018

Starting Monday, eateries from Lake City to Rochester to Lanesboro will once again delight diners with mouth-watering selections in an epicurean ode like no other. FEAST! Restaurant Week, Nov. 26 through Dec. 1, celebrates our region’s best chefs and drink artists while shining a spotlight on local food.

Every dish in the six-day extravaganza includes locally-produced ingredients, from fruits and vegetables to cheese and meat, to honey and hazelnuts.

It’s a collaborative effort between area restaurants and food makers, the People’s Food Co-op and FEAST! Local Foods Marketplace – the region’s largest local food festival, which takes place Dec. 1 at the Mayo Civic Center, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Participating restaurants choose a food producer from the list of exhibitors coming to FEAST! and create a menu item featuring at least one their products,” explains Brad Smith, People’s Food Co-op’s public and member relations manager and co-founder of FEAST! Restaurant Week. “It’s a great way to highlight all the culinary talent we have here while supporting area vendors and the great food they’re providing the community.”

With 17 eateries featuring more than a dozen area chefs, there are plenty of ways to savor local flavor. Check out local-feast.org/restaurantweek and follow #FeastRestaurantWeek on Twitter for more information on specials by each restaurant.
