Chance encounter at Pocatello store leads to six arrests
POCATELLO — A Pocatello detective’s chance encounter at a local grocery store with a suspect wanted on felony warrants eventually led to five arrests, police said.
Police said the detective recognized HK Gregersen at WinCo on Monday afternoon and knew the 34-year-old Pocatello man had felony warrants for violating probation.
Idaho State Probation and Parole assisted in arresting Gregersen and an associate, Salvador Serna, who was also wanted on felony warrants, police said.
Police said Gregersen’s parole officer ordered his home, located at 1109 Wilson Ave., No. 11, to be searched. Detectives and officers who responded to Gregersen’s home saw Lura Davis, who was on state probation, in the driveway of a neighboring home.
Davis was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was arrested on an agent’s warrant and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Occupants of Gregersen’s home reportedly refused to comply for several minutes when detectives, officers and Idaho State Probation and Parole officers asked them to come outside.
Two of the six occupants who eventually came outside were also arrested. David Walker was arrested on an agents warrant and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Police said Roger Logsdon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
