The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Ken Johnson in Somerset:

Driving under the influence

Chelsea Klejka, 22, Demuth Street, Geistown Borough, was charged Tuesday with two counts of driving under the influence and five summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 9:50 p.m. March 8 Klejka wrecked a vehicle on the on-ramp of Route 219 near Walmart in Somerset Township. She had blood alcohol content of 0.231 percent, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. April 30. Lake Koval, 24, Roytown Street, Lincoln Township, was charged Tuesday with three counts of driving under the influence and two summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 4:55 p.m. Feb. 16 state police received a report of an erratic driver who parked at Walmart in Somerset Township. Koval was the driver. A blood test showed he had several drugs in his system at the time of the stop, including marijuana, methamphetamine, morphine and fentanyl, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:50 p.m. April 30. Tyler Varner, 24, D Street, Johnstown, was charged Tuesday with two counts of driving under the influence and five summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 11:19 p.m. Feb. 23 state police stopped a vehicle driven by Varner for multiple traffic violations. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. April 23. Michael Rohyl, 58, Gateway Road, Somerset, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence and two summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Feb. 21 Rohyl wrecked a vehicle on Route 219 in Somerset Township. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.198 percent and a sedative in his system, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. April 23. Kylie Trout, 28, East Sanner Street, Somerset, was charged Tuesday with three counts of driving under the influence and four summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 8:20 p.m. Feb. 14 state police stopped a vehicle driven by Trout along East Sanner Street because her license was suspended. A blood test showed she had marijuana in her system at the time of the stop, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:40 p.m. April 30.

Retail theft

Shawn Waulk, 31, Lillian Lane, Somerset, was charged March 8 with retail theft. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 6:05 p.m. March 6 Waulk was caught not scanning items at a self-checkout at Walmart in Somerset Township. A receipt showed that Waulk scanned $92.78 worth of items and had an additional $261.20 worth of items in a cart, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:40 p.m. April 23.
