Cops: Convenience store dispute spurs chase, fatal shooting
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a dispute at a Philadelphia convenience store ended with two gunmen pursuing a car and eventually opening fire on the vehicle, killing a male passenger.
A woman told police that she and her boyfriend were at the store around 11:30 p.m. Monday when he got into an argument with several men. The woman said she drove away but the men used another vehicle to pursue her car for several blocks before the shooting occurred at an intersection.
The gunmen allegedly fired more than a dozen shots, wounding the woman’s 25-year-old boyfriend, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. She drove him to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead there a short time later.
Authorities have not disclosed details about the argument that allegedly spurred the shooting.
