Burlington Stores: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot
BURLINGTON, N.J. (AP) _ Burlington Stores Inc. (BURL) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $84.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Burlington, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of $1.26. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.36 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.15 per share.
The discount retailer posted revenue of $1.66 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.63 billion.
For the current quarter ending in November, Burlington Stores expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.37 to $1.41.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.14 to $7.22 per share.
Burlington Stores shares have climbed slightly more than 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 3.5% in the last 12 months.
