2 kids hospitalized after apartment complex fire; 1 missing
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque authorities say two children were hospitalized and a third was missing following an apartment complex fire battled by dozens of firefighters early Tuesday morning.
No information was released about the missing child but Fire Department spokesman Tom Ruiz said children ages 13 and 2 years old were hospitalized in critical condition and being treated for smoke inhalation and that a woman was in stable condition with a lower leg injury.
Ruiz said six apartments were affected by the fire and that the building was considered too unstable for an immediate search.
Cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known. Approximately 70 firefighters responded.
