January 20, 2019

CHELMSFORD -- Chelmsford Public Schools will have 13 students in this year’s Massachusetts Music Educator’s Association All State Treble Chorus.

The All State Treble Chorus showcases the talent of some of the state’s youngest singers. The program is offered by the MMEA as an enrichment opportunity providing a musical experience to talented young people. Participating students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their artistry and to create new friendships.

McCarthy Middle School students accepted into the chorus are Hadi AlDayaa, Charlie Brennan, Alexandra Kenney and Sophia Roy, all sixth-graders.

Representing the Parker Middle School will be sixth-graders Emily Chase, Jessica Jerusal, Shreya Madhu, Norah Nolan and Liam Quinn, and fifth-graders Evelyn Afshar, Brianna Cairns, Michael Layes and Riley Tambo.

Those students will rehearse with guest conductors and then perform in a concert at the annual MMEA Conference in Boston on Saturday, March 2.

The Chelmsford Friends of Music are providing financial support for the students to participate in the All State Treble Chorus.
