LOS ANGELES (AP) — A woman was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment after it was consumed by fire.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says it took less than 15 minutes to put out the fire within a 3rd-floor unit in the building in the Silver Lake neighborhood on Friday night.

A department spokesman described the woman who died as elderly and says they were delayed in trying to save her by an excessive amount of storage blocking the entryway to her unit.

No other injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
