11-year-old girl found, man in custody after AMBER Alert issued
UPDATE FROM IDAHO STATE POLICE: Aila and Kelly Vesterby have been located in Mountain Home, Idaho. Kelly Vesterby is in custody.
CALDWELL — An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 11-year-old Caldwell girl who authorities say is in danger.
According to the Idaho State Police, Kelly Vesterby left Caldwell on Tuesday evening with Aila Vesterby, possibly to either Mountain Home or Minnesota.
Kelly took clothing items for himself and Aila and left in a blue/green 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with Idaho license plate 3292V.
Police said Kelly is considered armed, and family members believe Aila is in danger.
Aila Nyelle Vesterby is an 11-year-old white female with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 70 pounds. She was last seen at 2320 Carnegie Street in Caldwell.
Kelly James Vesterby is a 48-year-old white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds.
