‘Weird Al’ will play with a symphony when he comes back to Nebraska

November 13, 2018

“Weird Al” Yanokovic will return to Nebraska next year, but this time it’ll be a little different.

Yankovic will play Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln on July 31.

The master of pop parody is embarking on a tour dubbed “Strings Attached,” and at each concert, he’ll play parodies such as “Eat It,” “Amish Paradise,” “Like a Surgeon” and “Smells Like Nirvana” with a string section.

Weird Al is a Grammy-winning, platinum-selling artist whose parodies and original songs have become a cultural phenomenon, and he earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this year.

Yankovic played Pinewood Bowl in 2016.
