Kathleen Willey Getting Married
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ The woman who accused President Clinton of making a sexual advance in the White House six years ago is engaged to be married.
Kathleen Willey said she is preparing for a fall wedding to longtime friend Bill Schwicker, who proposed in June.
``I’m going to get married and try to put all this behind me,″ she told The Associated Press on Tuesday. ``It’s all over.″
Ms. Willey said Clinton groped her in 1993 near the Oval Office, one day before her husband was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been distraught over financial troubles.
Clinton has denied any such encounter.
In an interview with the magazine Style Weekly, Ms. Willey said she fled to Schwicker’s home in Florida to duck the press last year.
``For a while it was indescribable,″ she said. ``I got to the point where I found it laughable what people would say and do to get me to talk.″
