Town of Monroe taking summer job applications
MONROE — The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for summer jobs and will do so until March 1.
The following positions can be applied for at this time — admissions monitor, seasonal park security/boat ramp attendant, maintainer, lifeguard, swim instructor, summer fun days camp staff. All lifeguard applicants must attach a copy of all pertinent certifications or the application will not be accepted. Applicants must be 16 years old by May 1 to be eligible for employment.
The deadline for Summer Fun Days Counselors-in-Training applications is April 19. Applicants must be 15 years of age by June 1. If accepted into this program, applicants will be required to provide documentation to confirm this. Note there is a $25 program fee per week due when the schedule is final.
Job descriptions for all positions are available in the Parks and Recreation Department Office at Monroe Town Hall. Job and counselors-in-training applications can be obtained at the office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays. Applications can also be downloaded from www.monroerec.org.
