STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Freshman Svetlana Abrosimova scored a team-high 19 points Tuesday to help No. 3 Connecticut pull away from No. 20 Iowa for a 65-55 win.

The Huskies (5-0) broke open a tight contest with a 15-6 run to end the game. There were five lead changes in the second half.

UConn trailed 28-27 at the half, but pulled ahead by four points on an Abrosimova 3-pointer at 13:50.

Iowa tied it on an Amy Herrig jumper, but Abrosimova quickly put the Huskies back on top with basket of her own. The teams traded leads once more, until UConn went ahead for good at the 8:08 mark.

The Huskies had 11 steals and scored 17 points off Iowa (1-2) turnovers.

Sophomore Paige Sauer had 18 points for UConn.

Senior Nadine Domand led the Hawkeyes with 16 points.
