Body found 30 years ago in Tennessee is Indiana woman
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — State investigators say a body found more 30 years ago along Interstate 75 in Tennessee belongs to a missing woman from Indiana.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Thursday that agents found the name of 21-year-old Tina Marie McKenney Farmer last month on a blog focusing on missing person’s cases.
The bureau says investigators matched Farmer’s fingerprints with that of the body, which had remained unidentified since it was found on Jan. 1, 1985, in Campbell County.
Autopsy results showed she had likely died days before she was found.
Analysts and agents are working with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department to find out more about Farmer.
