New Orleans Bowl extends agreement with R+L Carriers
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Bowl has renewed its sponsorship and naming rights agreement with R+L Carriers through the 2021 season.
The bowl game began in 2001. Organized by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, it has been played every year since in the Superdome and has featured a team from the Sun Belt Conference, which is headquartered in the city. Conference USA also currently has a tie-in to the game.
R+L Carriers has been the title sponsor of the game since 2005.
This season, the New Orleans Bowl will be played Saturday night between Southern Mississippi and Louisiana-Lafayette.
R+L Carriers Vice President of Marketing Greg Bronner says the sponsorship extension reflects the company’s support of New Orleans.
