Rangers’ Taylor Out With Injury

November 29, 2000

NEW YORK (AP) _ Rangers forward Tim Taylor will miss 7-10 days after separating his left shoulder in New York’s 7-6 victory Tuesday night over the Los Angeles Kings.

Taylor, who had a goal and assist in the game, was injured on a hit by Los Angeles’ Kelly Buchberger during the first period.

The center continued playing and assisted on Theo Fleury’s goal in the second period _ a pass that he said was painful.

Taylor, who played 24 shifts totaling 14:12 in ice time, scored the first of New York’s three first-period goals that came within 66 seconds. He has two goals and four assists this season.

Johan Witehall was recalled by the Rangers from their AHL affiliate in Hartford after the game. The left wing, who will be available for Wednesday night’s game at New Jersey, recorded two assists with New York in three games earlier this season.
