Trump gets duped by Kim Jong Un: Darcy cartoon

CLEVELAND, Ohio --  Following his spontaneous summit with Kim Jong Un, in June, President Trump boasted that “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.”   That turned out to be as true as Trump’s claim that the U.S. response to hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico was great.

North Korea Nuclearizing not Denuclearizing.

NBC News reports latest intelligence reports show that North Korea has escalated its efforts to conceal ongoing efforts to build nuclear warheads, which it had never discontinued during and after Kim Jong Un’s summit with Trump.

According to three current and former senior U.S. officials, U.S. intelligence believes North Korea can produce five to eight nuclear warheads in 2018.

Rand Corporation’s senior international/defense researcher, Bruce Bennett, said Kim Jong Un is nuclearizing not denuclearizing.

“Since the beginning of 2018, Kim has surrendered and dismantled no nuclear weapons, but has likely built five to nine new nuclear weapons.  So he has not frozen his nuclear program and he has certainly not been denuclearizing; instead he has been nuclearizing.”

Trump wanted South Korea missile defense system moved to Portland.

North Korea isn’t denuclearizing, but Trump wanted to defang South Korea and U.S. troops based there, by ordering a missile defense system moved from South Korea to Portland, Oregon, according to an account in Bob Woodward’s book “Fear.”

According to Woodward, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster had been trying to explain to Trump that the U.S. had the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System is South Korea to protect the South and U.S. troops there in the event of the resumption of war with North Korea.

“It’s actually a very good deal for us,” McMaster reassured Trump.  “They gave us the land in a 99-year lease for free.  But we pay for the system, the installation and the operations.”

When Trump saw the land, which included an old golf course, he balked.

“This land is piece of s--t land.   This is a terrible deal.  Who negotiated this deal? What genius?  Take it out.  I don’t want the land.”

Since the defense system could cost $10 billion over ten years and wasn’t in the U.S., Trump told McMaster, “F*** it, pull it back and put it in Portland.”

Kim Jong Un plays Duped Donald by sweet talking him, wants 2nd date.

At a Montana campaign rally, Trump boasted about “some terrific things about me” Kim Jong Un had said to a South Korean official.   “He said very strongly that we want to denuclearize North Korea during President Trump’s tenure.”

Trump followed up with a tweet:

Kim Jong Un of North Korea proclaims “unwavering faith in President Trump.” Thank you Chairman Kim.  We will get it done together.”

When Military parade lover Trump didn’t seen any nuclear missiles in North Korea’s latest parade, Duped Donald took it as another sign of Kim Jong Un’s commitment to denuclearization, tweeting:

“North Korea has just staged their parade, celebrating 70th anniversary of founding, without the customary display of nuclear missiles.  Theme was peace and economic development.  “Experts believe that North Korea cut out the nuclear missiles to show President Trump...

its commitment to denuclearize.”  @FoxNews  This is a big and very positive statement from North Korea.  Thank you To Chairman Kim.  We both prove everyone wrong!   There is nothing like a good dialogue from two people that like each other! Much better than before I took office.”

Monday, Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that Kim Jong Un had recently sent Trump a “warm, very positive” letter seeking a second summit meeting.

“It’s something that we want to take place and are already working on making that happen,” said Sanders of the request for second summit.

Of course Kim would send a second letter to Trump, who he’s already successfully played once.  Just like a Nigerian money scammer would send a second email to someone who bit on their first email about getting a cut of $ millions to help them transfer it to a U.S. bank.  You would have thought Don-the-Con would know when he’s being conned by Kim.
