Texas A&M 61, Missouri 57

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) _ Missouri went on a 14-4 run late in the game, but Texas A&M made six free throws in the final minute for a 61-57 victory Tuesday night behind Shanne Jones’ career-high 21 points.

Jones scored nine points in a 14-2 run that gave the Aggies (8-9, 2-5 Big 12) a 34-30 halftime advantage, and A&M opened the second half with a 17-6 run for a 51-36 lead with 11:40 remaining.

But then Tyron Lee hit a 3-pointer to open a 14-4 Missouri run that allowed the Tigers to pull within 55-53 with a minute left.

Dario Quesada hit three of four free throws, Jerald Brown made two more and Calvin Davis made one of two for a 61-53 lead with six seconds left.

Missouri scored its final four points in the last two seconds _ on Dibi Ray’s uncontested layup and then on Tate Decker’s field goal at the buzzer after an A&M turnover.

Derek Grimm scored 17 points and Kelly Thames 15 for Missouri (10-10, 2-6).

Jones made 9 of 12 field goals, and he and Davis had 7 rebounds each as the Aggies controlled the boards, 40-28.
