LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) _ A University of Wyoming senior pleaded innocent Thursday to killing eight other students when his pickup truck hit a sport utility vehicle last month.

Clinton Haskins, 21, of Maybell, Colo., is charged with eight counts of aggravated vehicular homicide. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 160 years in prison and an $80,000 fine.

Prosecutors say Haskins had a blood-alcohol level well above the legal limit when his truck crossed the center line of a highway and slammed into the SUV on Sept. 16 south of Laramie.

The SUV was carrying eight University of Wyoming track and cross country runners. Haskins was the only survivor.

His trial is expected to be scheduled for March.
