Peoria family builders to be featured on TV show

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — A family-owned Peoria construction company is being featured in a reality TV show on the DIY Network.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/18Fh41q ) Noah Herman Sons Builders and Herman Brothers Lake and Land Management are starring in “All Hooked Up,” which is set to begin airing this fall.

Film crews are in central Illinois recording initial footage for two preliminary episodes, following the family members as they meet with clients. One of the projects involves building a floating, solar-powered, volcano-themed “man cave” in a private lake in Norris. The island retreat is about 24 miles west of Peoria and includes a deck, shower, glass floor, big-screen TV, air conditioning and a grill.

A second project involves a double-decker houseboat renovation with a rock climbing wall in Fairview.
