Two Dead In Crash in Pasture
DAYTON, Minn. (AP) _ A sputtering helicopter flew low and erratically over the Mississippi River, clipped some treetops and then crashed in a pasture, instantly killing the two occupants, authorities and witnesses said.
″There wasn’t much left - not much at all ... I felt sick,″ said Ty Kramer, a construction worker who was one of the first on the scene of Wednesday’s crash.
Wreckage from the Bell 47 helicopter was littered over a 250-yard path in this northern Minneapolis suburb.
″We heard it spit and sputter and we knew it wasn’t running right at all,″ said Kramer.
The identities of the victims were not released pending notification of relatives.
