Barboursville teen jailed after alleged sexual assault
BARBOURSVILLE — A Barboursville teen was jailed over the weekend after he was accused of holding a female against her will at his home earlier this month.
Christopher Travis Clark II, 19, was jailed at 7 p.m. Saturday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with sexual assault, domestic battery, strangulation and abduction. His bond was set at $105,000.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court by Barboursville police, Clark physically assaulted a female victim on Sept. 15 at his home in the 100 block of Patterson Road in Barboursville.
The complaint accuses Clark of pulling the victim’s hair, as well as punching, kicking and throwing her against a wall and floor while holding her against her will at his residence. He is also accused of grabbing her breast, leaving a huge bruise, after tearing her clothing off. The victim was allegedly not allowed to leave the home until 1 p.m. the next day.
Clark is currently housed at Western Regional Jail in Barboursville.

Basil Bruce Browning, 72, was jailed at 1:35 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with wanton endangerment, assault, assault
on an officer, burglary, brandishing and obstructing. Bond was not set.
Wade Wellington Wiseman, 42, was jailed at 5:20 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with wanton endangerment, prohibited person from possessing a firearm, domestic battery, obstructing an officer, retaliating against a public official, terroristic threats and domestic assault. Bond was not set.
Bret Allen Dement, 29, was jailed at 9:15 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with fleeing from an officer while DUI, destruction or injury of property, grand larceny, obstruction, fleeing in vehicle with reckless indifference. Bond was not set.
Michael Shawn Hunter, 49, was jailed at 9:35 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with being a person prohibited from carrying a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was not set.
