DETROIT (AP) _ Michael Jackson scored 22 points, including 13 in the second half, as the Titans overcame a halftime deficit to beat Northern Illinois 68-60 Thursday.

The game was tied five times and there were 12 lead changes in the second half. But Detroit (10-12, 7-4 Midwestern Collegiate Conference) used an 11-2 run in the final two minutes to win the game.

The game was tied 54-54 with 2:14 to play when Iyapo Montgomery hit a 3-pointer to spark the run. The Titans hit 7 of 9 free throws during the spurt and made 15 of 22 from the stripe for the game, compared with just 6 of 12 for Northern Illinois (15-8, 5-7).

The Huskies held a 35-27 lead at halftime, thanks to Chris Coleman and Marlin Simms, who had 12 first half points each. Simms led Northern Illinois with 19. Coleman scored just one point in the second half.

Alan Renner-Thomas had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Titans.
