Leominster Man Nabbed in Drug Bust
LEOMINSTER -- A local man was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and oxycodone pills in addition to other charges following a drug bust Thursday.
A joint investigation into oxycodone distribution in North Worcester County communities led to the arrest of Scott J. Tocci of Leominster, according to a press release from the Leominster Police Department.
Around 36 total grams of cocaine and 778 Oxycodone pills were seized.
According to the release, the street value of the drugs and U.S. currency seized amounted to an estimated $65,000, according to the release.
The Leominster Police Department, Clinton Police Department, Sterling Police Deparment, North Worcester County Drug Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration’s High Intensity Drug Traffic Area program were all involved in the investigation.
According to the release, the investigation originated in Leominster which was the main area controlled by the trafficker to “distribute dangerously high amounts of oxycodone pills in the community”.
The release said that Tocci is also facing charges of distribution of a class B substance and “multiple other charges” but did not specify what those other charges are.
