Teen Jumps to His Death at Mo. Mall
ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A teen-ager climbed over the railing and jumped 80 feet to his death at a four-story mall as startled shoppers looked on.
Matthew Shive, 15, of East Alton, Ill., hit his head on the tile floor Wednesday at the downtown St. Louis Centre.
A witness saw him holding onto the railing and told police that before jumping, Shive said: ``Call the police. There’s going to be an accident.″
His family had reported him missing Tuesday.
``He didn’t have any more problems than any other students,″ said Patrick Sullivan, principal at Roxana High School. ``It’s nothing anyone could have predicted.″
