Lorain man shot Friday morning during dispute with neighbor

LORAIN, Ohio -- Lorain police are investigating a shooting Friday morning that injured a 30-year-old man during an argument with his upstairs neighbor, according to police.

Police responded about 8 a.m. Friday to a duplex on the 1200 block of Tower Boulevard near Oberlin Avenue, Lieutenant Ed Super said.

Officers arrived and found a 30-year-old man who suffered one gunshot wound to his stomach, Super said.

The man told police that he was shot by his upstairs neighbor, a 59-year-old man, with whom he had an ongoing dispute, Super said.

Police did not describe the victim’s condition but said he was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital before being brought by helicopter to MetroHealth, Super said.

No arrests have been made and the shooting is still under investigation, Super said.
