ST. LOUIS — After St. Louis prosecutors dismissed their felony invasion of privacy case against Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, the first term Republican said it was a great victory. But even if prosecutors don’t refile charges, as they say they will, Greitens faces a second felony charge and a Special Session that starts Friday to address potential discipline including impeachment. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — As Missouri readies a statue of former President Harry Truman for display in the U.S. Capitol, disagreement lingers over which of two problematic 19th century figures now on display there he should replace: Thomas Hart Benton, was a former slave owner, or Francis Preston Blair, Jr., an outspoken racist. The Legislature decided years ago to keep Benton, but a Senate committee recently voted to reverse that decision because Republicans objected to having two Democrats represented. UPCOMING: 500 words.
