Waupun Chamber hosts awards night: Celebration recognizes community’s dedication

WAUPUN — The Waupun Area Chamber of Commerce will host the second annual Waupunies Awards Night on Feb. 7 at Bridges at the Rock, 700 County Park Road.

The event runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m., with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner and ceremony starting at 6 p.m.

“The Waupunies serve as the Chamber’s annual business meeting, highlighting both Chamber changes and business achievements within the past year,” Chamber Executive Director Ellie Tenpas said. “In an attempt to give back to the members, and celebrate local businesses successes, the awards night was born last year, and we are excited to continue on this new tradition of recognizing achievements in the business community in Waupun.”

Ten awards will be presented to local businesses and community members for their respective efforts to improve — and contributions to — Waupun. They include:

“We are thrilled to have had over 30 different businesses and individuals be submitted for nominations for this year’s awards,” said Tyler Schulz, president of the chamber’s board of directors. “We look forward to seeing this event continue to grow, and hope to have a great turnout to help us recognize and celebrate this year’s winners.”

During the business portion of the event chamber members will have the chance to vote on two items — by-law amendments and the approval of new board members.
