KUNKLE — Authorities are planning a benefit spaghetti dinner and raffle for a firefighter who was hit by a dump truck while directing traffic. Edward Nulton, 62, of Monroe Twp., was stuck and badly injured the morning of Sept. 21 while he was directing traffic because of an earlier crash at the intersection of state Routes 29 and 309 in Monroe Twp. The truck driver, 46-year-old Jack C. Husband, of Harveys Lake, has not been charged, according to court records. Police on Friday said the Kunkle Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a spaghetti dinner and raffle 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 to benefit Nulton. The dinner is being held at the fire company’s social hall at 815 Kunkle Road. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. For more information, call 570-675-3334. — JAMES HALPIN
