SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) _ Roger Cook threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night to lead Weber State to a 41-31 victory over Sacramento State in the Big Sky Conference.

Weber State (6-3, 3-2) led 27-10 at the half after Cook hit Kyhaunn Woods with a 17-yard scoring pass.

Sacramento State (1-8, 0-6), still winless in their first season in the Big Sky, attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough.

The Wildcats took a 41-17 lead in the fourth when Cook found Lance Mimnaugh with a 6-yard touchdown pass.

The Hornets scrambled with a 3-yard scoring run from Damian Shelton, then Tyler Jessee then hit Tyrone Taylor with an 8-yard TD pass with 1:25 left the game.

Taylor caught nine passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns for Sacramento State.
