Cipriani, Easter in England squad to face Wales
LONDON (AP) — England has included fly half Danny Cipriani and No. 8 Nick Easter in the squad for Friday’s Six Nations opener against Wales.
The pair have experienced moments of controversy during their international careers, but are now set for roles off the bench in Cardiff. Head coach Stuart Lancaster will name his starting XV on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old Easter, who made the last of his 47 test appearances at the 2011 World Cup, started the last time England won in Cardiff in the same year.
Cipriani, who made two appearances as a replacement during the 2014 tour to New Zealand, benefits from Owen Farrell’s championship-ending knee injury and has been preferred ahead of Stephen Myler to cover for George Ford.
