Monroe library to host Ben’s Bells project

February 25, 2019

MONROE — The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 733 Monroe Turnpike, will host a Ben’s Bells painting project from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ehlers Room.

Come to the library to make a beautiful Ben’s Bell to celebrate kindness and community. You can take your bell home to hang it or leave it at the library to decorate the library.

Ben’s Bells are ceramic wind chimes, handmade by the community. By the time one Ben’s Bell is complete, at least 10 people have been involved in its creation. Ben’s Bells are hung randomly throughout the community, in public spaces, for people to find and take home as a reminder to practice intentional kindness. For more information on the mission of Ben’s Bells, visit https://bensbells.org/connecticut.

No registration is necessary.

This program is is open to all ages as long as children attend with a caregiver. This activity will be self-directed and will be using paint. Call the library at 203-452-2852.
