HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania’s primary election will decide nominees or officeholders for several high-profile offices, including mayor of the nation’s sixth largest city and one of the state’s 18 members of the U.S. House. Pennsylvania’s primary election is May 21. It features primary elections for Philadelphia mayor and two statewide appellate court seats. ERIE _ The autonomous snow-sweeping robot can run for 16 miles and sweep up to 4 inches of snow. This is a senior project that everyone in Erie can appreciate. In a region that gets about 10 feet of snow a year, imagine never having to shovel it again. Five engineering students at Gannon University have built a snow-removal robot that does the job. They say it has 16 miles of battery life and can sweep up to 4 inches of snow. “It was designed to work on sidewalks at schools and businesses,” said Mark Wesley, 22, a mechanical engineering major from Butler County. “It would run overnight, while you sleep,” added Tenger Batjargal, 23, an electrical engineering major. WOMAN KILLED-MAN FOUND DEAD _ Authorities say a woman was shot and killed as she drove home from her western Pennsylvania workplace, and a male suspect was later found dead in a Pittsburgh cemetery.
