Charles’ Late Goal Dooms Marywood
Meshema Charles scored the go-ahead goal with
41 seconds left to give Berkeley College a 4-3 win over Marywood University in a men’s soccer game Monday.
Zac Lloyd tied the score for Marywood with his second goal of the game in the 84th minute. Montrose graduate Giovanni Amato also scored for the Pacers (1-6).
Holy Cross graduate James Tressler of Marywood University shot 4-over 75 to finish second at the Ursinus Fall Invitational at Raven’s Claw Golf Club.
Tressler had a pair of birdies and tied Ursinus College’s Kyle Quagliero for second place, but won the tiebreaker with a better card on the back nine. Dunmore graduate Joseph Weber had a pair of birdies and shot 78 to tie for sixth place for Marywood and Holy Cross graduate Austin Zehel shot 87. Marywood finished fourth in the team standings, 28 shots behind Rutgers-Camden.
