Burglaries investigated in Cabell County

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by police reports filed in the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office:

BURGLARY: Police are searching for a suspect after a storage unit burglary occurred between Oct. 20 and Nov. 2 at the Milton Kwik Storage in the 1100 block of James River Turnpike in which more than $2,000 worth of instruments and a television were stolen.

Seven electric guitars, three acoustic guitars and a Magnavox f lat-screen television were reported missing from the storage unit. The guitars include a yellow Fender Telecaster valued at $900 and three Fender Stratocasters in white, cream and yellow, each valued at $200. The guitars all have multiple stickers on them. The total estimated value of the items stolen is $2,600.

The report states there was no sign of forced entry to the unit and the owner believes the lock was picked.

BURGLARY: Police are searching for a suspect after a burglary that occurred between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Saturday at a residence in the 5200 block of W.Va. 10 in Barboursville in which several electronics and weapons were reported missing.

According to the report, the complainant told police no damage was done to the residence but it appeared someone had entered through a back window and exited through the back door. It is unknown whether the window was locked.

Items reported missing included a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle valued at $1,000, a Glock handgun valued at $600 and an HP touch-screen laptop valued at $500.

The Huntington Police Department listed 13 new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the printout released by the department. However, the individual police reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Burglary, entry of dwelling or outhouse, warrant service/execution, 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, 500 block of 9th Street.

Domestic battery, destruction of property — misdemeanor, 11:41 p.m. Monday, 400 block of New York Street.

Trespassing, 11:57 p.m. Monday, 2800 block of Marcum Terrace.

Intoxicating substances, prohibited acts, 6:05 p.m. Monday, 2800 block of Marcum Terrace.

Petit larceny, noon Saturday, 2000 block of Marcum Terrace.

Breaking and entering auto, noon Nov. 4, 14th Street and 11th Avenue.

Warrant service/execution, DUI less than 0.150, 3:03 p.m. Monday, Edgemont Terrace and Edgewood Drive.

Breaking and entering auto, 8 a.m. Monday, 500 block of 9th Street.

Possession of a controlled substance, improper registration, DUI less than 0.150, 12:57 p.m. Monday, 8th Avenue and West 2nd Street.

Breaking and entering, 11 a.m. Monday, 4700 block of Bradley Road.

Petit larceny, 8:45 a.m. Monday, 600 block of 6th Street.

Falsely reporting an emergency incident, obstructing officer, 2:30 a.m. Monday, 100 block of 5th Avenue.

Warrant service/execution, suspended/revoked license — miscellaneous, 1:47 a.m. Monday, 9th Street and 6th Avenue.

The following information was provided by booking records kept at Western Regional Jail:

James Kelly Mynes, 46, was jailed at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with burglary. Bond was not set.

Nathan Lloyd Craig, 25, was jailed at 10:25 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with burglary. He was also jailed on an active warrant. Bond was not set.

Kevin Scott Fox, 34, was jailed at 7:35 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with possession of a controlled substance. He was also jailed on an active warrant. Bond was not set.

Brendon Matthew Legg, 28, was jailed at 7:20 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with strangulation and grand larceny. Bond was not set.
