Planning commission approves Starving Artist request
PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — The Mason County Planning Commission approved a request on Tuesday from Starving Artist Brewing Co. owner Andy Thomas, who was seeking to rezone his 634 Stiles Road business as a microbrewery.
Janet Anderson made a motion to waive the 10-acre requirement that previously encumbered Thomas’ request and it was supported by Tom Hooper.
James Winczek, planning commission chair, said the commission’s legal counsel will draft a formal resolution for the change, which will go before the commission at its next meeting, on May 21, at which point the application is expected to be formally approved.
